Do you know about Korean Memorial Day? Korean Memorial day is called ‘Hyeonchungil’, its the day to remember all the veterans or soldiers who have contributed into Korean War. It’s a public holiday and lots of families of the soldiers, or veterans are visiting the national cemetery. Also, as it’s the public holiday, lots of government events are going on in Korea.

As you know that Korean war is on 25th of June, but why korean memorial day is on 6th of June?

Due to the record of Joseon Dynasty, they burred down all the soldiers on 6th of June. Also, in 1956, the best harvesting day was 6th of June. At that time, when it’s harvest day, they have a silence time to give thanks to the country. This is the main reason that the Korean memorial day have set this date.
