The origin people in New Zealand are called Māori. This article is to introduce about the culture of Māori people. They are originally from Polynesian people of New Zealand. They moved in to New Zealand from East Polynesia around between 1320-1350. They have settled they own language, culture, art, performance art independently from East Polynesia.

In 18th Century, Maori and Europeans contacted, and had New Zealand War. During the war, there was an agreement called “Treaty of Waitangi” to finish the war and accept the Europeans suggestions.

It was 1840, these two cultures were became stying together for a generation.

The culture of Maori people are like to gathering together and very active in all society area of New Zealand. Lots of Maori people are working as handcrafting, traditional performances, schooling, and so on.
